Author Visits

Corey Green loves to make author visits to schools like yours!

If you are a kid, please show this website to a teacher, librarian, or another adult who can help make an author visit a reality for you.

If you are a grown-up, read on.

About Corey Green Author Visits
Corey Green's presentations are interactive for students and use her books as examples.  We recommend a major presentation for several grades -- perhaps 3rd through 6th -- for a half-day program.  An author visit can be tailored for your needs and questions from students can be part of the presentation.

If your focus is on math, students especially enjoy activities associated with Best Multiplication Songs EVER! and Best Multiplication Workbook EVER!

Corey Green signs each book sold at her author visits and presents a gift to each purchaser.  Kids love her bright "STAN DID IT" wristbands and the companion to math products, Best Wristband EVER!

As part of our visit publicity kit, Abligio Books will send a student worksheet that you can distribute before your author visit.  Corey Green will present signed copies of her books for your school library.  She'll be happy to participate in limited fund-raising activities with student government or parent-teacher organizations, too.

Visit Itineraries - Full days or half-days
Most author visits are scheduled for half-days at a single school.  Corey Green is delighted to include two or more schools in planning a visit to a geographic destination to minimize expenses for each group.  Abligio Books will help you with logistics.

For a full-day schedule, ask Corey Green to conduct an informational or training presentation for teachers during school visits.  Recommended topics include a guide to presenting the hero's journey story structure and using book clubs in the classroom.

Successful programs for students have included:

Reading Focus
  • No more library-wandering! Learn to find books that are fun for you.
  • Discover the Five Finger Framework at your fingertips -- use it to help you summarize.
  • Be a detective: find the clues that help you predict the story.
  • Start your own Book Clubs!

Writing Focus

  • Learn the Hero's Journey story structure -- the secret to writing like a pro -- at any age!
  • Use the Five Finger Framework in your story exposition or summarize a book.
  • Plan a story -- right here, right now, all together!
  • From idea to finished product -- use techniques that Corey Green uses to write fun books for kids.
